Of course our October dance was our Halloween dance and we had a large number of the members in costume!! What a GREAT JOB by ALL!!!! The members voted by applause on the three best couples and they were: Raggedy Ann and Andy, The Scarey Clown and the Court Jester, and The Phantom of the Opera and The Nurse. Thanks to all who helped clean up after the dance!!!

NEXT DANCE: The next dance will be this Friday, November 6th. The music will be provided by The Royal Aires. This will be our Anniversary Dance and for those who are counting, it’s number 52!!! Everyone bring their favorite covered dish and/or desserts with serving utensils like last year and the Club will be providing the Anniversary Cake. Dinner will be served buffet style after the announcements at the first intermission.

BY–LAW CHANGES: We had the General Business meeting on October 14th at Alzafar Shrine Temple which was attended by 12 members , to vote on the proposed changes to two of the ARTICLES. The change under ARTICLE III was to change the sentence FROM: Guests may attend their first dance free of charge., TO: Guests may attend at the nominal donation fee. Also a proposed change to ARTICLE IV – DUES Regular: Change to $60 per person ($120 per couple) annual due. The above two proposed changes passed by a unanimous vote. LAST DANCE : Our May 1st dance was fun and well attended with a total of 75 members and guests. How about Warren Cook and The New American Orchestra!!! You probably were not aware that Our Club had such great talent in Warren Koch!! I had many members tell me how much they enjoyed Warren’s Music and would like to have him play for us more often next year! I believe that can be arranged! Our thanks to our set up and clean up help including Donna and Clay Skinner and our other club members who also helped. Also, a big THANKS to Janell Donahue who did the Treasurer’s job while Dorothy Endicott was out on vacation!! I have to apologize for not being able to remember the names of all our helpers. We will try to improve.
